Day-by-Day Journey
Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Briefing and gear check.
Drive to Besisahar, Trek to Jagat
Scenic drive to Besisahar, then begin trekking through subtropical forests.
Jagat to Dharapani
Follow the Marsyangdi River valley through charming villages.
Dharapani to Chame
Enter the Manang district with the first close views of the Annapurnas.
Chame to Upper Pisang
Spectacular views of Annapurna II and IV as you gain altitude.
Upper Pisang to Manang
Trek through the picturesque valley to Manang, the region's largest village.
Acclimatization in Manang
Day hike to Gangapurna Lake and its glacier for excellent acclimatization.
Manang to Yak Kharka
Gradual ascent towards Thorong La through alpine pastures.
Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
Short day to prepare for the high pass crossing.
Cross Thorong La to Muktinath
Early start to cross the highest pass of the trek (5,416m), then descend to the sacred temple of Muktinath.
Muktinath to Jomsom
Visit Muktinath Temple before descending into the Kali Gandaki valley.
Jomsom to Marpha
Walk through apple orchards to the charming Thakali village of Marpha.
Marpha to Tatopani
Follow the Kali Gandaki through the deepest gorge in the world, ending at natural hot springs.
Tatopani to Ghorepani
Climb through rhododendron forests to the famous viewpoint village of Ghorepani.
Poon Hill Sunrise, Trek to Nayapul
Dawn ascent of Poon Hill (3,210m) for a panoramic sunrise, then descend to Nayapul.
Drive to Pokhara
Scenic drive to Pokhara. Afternoon at leisure by Phewa Lake. Celebration dinner.
Drive to Kathmandu
Return to Kathmandu by tourist coach or flight. Farewell dinner.
