Day-by-Day Journey
Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Evening briefing with your trek leader.
Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding
Scenic mountain flight to Lukla (2,860m). Trek through pine and rhododendron forests to Phakding.
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Cross dramatic suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi. Steep final ascent to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatization in Namche
Day hike to the Everest View Hotel for the first breathtaking views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Visit Khumjung village.
Namche to Tengboche
Trek through rhododendron forests to Tengboche, home to the most famous monastery in the Himalayas.
Tengboche to Dingboche
Descend through birch forests then climb into the Imja Khola valley. Views of Lhotse and Makalu.
Acclimatization in Dingboche
Hike to Nagarjun Hill for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Dingboche to Lobuche
Follow the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Lobuche, with views of Cholatse and Tawoche.
Lobuche to Gorak Shep, Kala Patthar Sunrise
Arrive at Gorak Shep. Ascent of Kala Patthar for a spectacular sunset panorama of Everest.
Everest Base Camp
Early trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back. A moment of a lifetime.
Gorak Shep to Pangboche
Descend the Khumbu valley, retracing your steps through the high pastures.
Pangboche to Namche
Continue the descent to Namche Bazaar through the Imja Khola valley.
Namche to Lukla
Final day of trekking back to Lukla, celebrating with your trekking crew.
Fly to Kathmandu
Morning flight back to Kathmandu. Afternoon at leisure, farewell dinner.
